Huckleberry's 2019 Spring Gala, featuring a cocktail reception, gourmet dinner, fun wine bottle ring toss game, live and silent auctions, will celebrate our programs which have touched the lives of over 200,000 Bay Area youth and families since 1967. We will highlight the 20th Anniversary of our juvenile justice diversion program, Huckleberry's Community Assessment and Resource Center (CARC)
Our 2019 Spring Gala will highlight the work of Huckleberry's Community Assessment & Resource Center (CARC), which is celebrating its 20th Anniversary of diverting arrested youth from the juvenile justice system, keeping them in school, and on a path to success. Our emcee for the evening is Christin Ayers of KPIX CBS.
Huckleberry's CARC has provided case management to 7,494 San Francisco arrested youth in the past two decades.
On average, CARC sees 270 non-violent offenders each year, the majority of whom are police-delivered and 72% of young people are not rearrested within one year of completing the program.
